Start Car is an iPhone and Apple Watch app for owners of Pandora car alarms. ORXON LLC, 30 N. Gould St. Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, runs the app and its server and is responsible for your data. This page says what the app stores, why it stores it, and who else sees it. Start Car is not made by Pandora and is not affiliated with Pandora.

What Start Car stores

• Your Pandora username and password. They are stored encrypted, and the server uses them to sign in to Pandora and control your car for you.
• Your car's status, location and history: engine, locks, temperature, battery, where the car is, and a log of recent events and commands.
• Your iPhone's location, but only when the alarm has no GPS fix and you allow it. It stands in for the car's position on the map and for weather.
• Your Apple account identifier from Sign in with Apple. It is a random id that Apple gives the app. Start Car does not ask Apple for your email address.
• Your subscription status: which plan you have and when it renews or ends.
• Your time zone, so schedules start at the right local time.
• Your schedules and automatic start rules.

Who else sees it

• Pandora. Your login is sent to Pandora's servers to read your car's status and send the commands you ask for. Pandora's own privacy terms cover what they keep.
• Apple handles Sign in with Apple and all payments. Start Car never sees your card details.
• The server runs on Fly.io, which hosts the data.
• For the weather, your car's position, or your iPhone's when the car has no GPS fix, is rounded to about 1 km and sent to Open-Meteo. Nothing else about you goes with it.

Start Car does not sell your data, does not show ads and does not track you across other apps or websites. There are no analytics or advertising tools in the app or on this site.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account in the app, from Settings, and also from the Connect and subscription screens. Deleting it removes your saved Pandora login, your car's status, location and history, your schedules, your Apple account identifier and your subscription record from the server.

Two values stay after deletion: your alarm's Pandora device number and Apple's id for your first purchase, with the date they were first seen. The server keeps them so it can tell when the same car has already had a free trial.

Security logs that record sign-ins, account changes and car activity, including your account id and IP address, are kept for 90 days to protect the service, then deleted. They are not used for anything else.

Deleting your account does not cancel your App Store subscription. Cancel it in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.
